Rabbit Campaigns

I had heard many months ago, that parents always seem to buy their children rabbits for easter. Chances are a few months later, the child would get bored, not want to bother with the rabbit anymore, and the parent would end up taking it to a rescue centre, or posting ad's for it to be rehomed.
Rabbits are one of the most unwanted pets in the UK, and people are unaware of how long a rabbit actually lives for. I own 5 rabbits, which will be with me up until i'm in my late 30's early 40's .
I looked into various campaigns that demonstrated the consequences of buying a rabbit for a child for easter. There is a difference between buying chocolate and teddy rabbits to the real thing.
I didn't really come across these campaigns at first until I did a thorough investigation whilst researching, and I found them quite effective. It just goes to show the simplest of images can give the audience the idea of what the purpose of the poster is.
Although the posters aren't striking in a Graphic Designers prospective, but in all honesty, the purpose of the posters are to make people aware that rabbits aren't just for easter, they are for life.
I also found it quite interesting that rescue centres have made posters, trying to put the point across that many rabbits probably come to them after the easter period is over.
Loads of rabbits are kept in Rescue centres for months, even years and are never re homed, which is an absolute shame.
I also found a poster which doesn't really have anything to do with easter, but the purpose of people dropping their cigarette butts on the floor for wildlife, such as wild rabbits picking them up thinking they are food, and swallowing them, causing serious deaths.
