Here is a brief demo from Sara Taylor, showing us the making of Front laced wig caps.

She showed us a demonstration on how to measure your head, to record the correct measurements.

Then to apply netting to each area of the template using a hammer and nails to hold the lace in place, ready for whipping in place using a needle and thread.

Here is a close up of the front of the template, showing a clear observation of each section of the cap template.
Again, using different marker pens, we are able to identify the different sections of the template clearly, ready for the net to be applied accurately.

Front Lace Wig Construction

The first thickest net ( the foundation) was added first, using turn over points to secure in place, alongside a whipping technique to sew them correctly.  Pins were hammered into sections, using them in pairs as the entire malleable was pinned where the net was. The above images show how the net was placed, and the image to the left shows the direction of the pins.
The process of making  a wig became a bit stressful for me, and although I did attempt to have a go at it, I kept ripping the net I was knotting, which became very frustrating for me, so I didn't end up completing the cap, or even a wig for my assessment. Perhaps for my projects in future, I can start off with something small, and work my way up, after all practice makes perfect.
