I recently only got into watching this fantasy television series a few weeks ago. I was advised by one of my close friends to watch it, as it would be something I would like.
Whilst watching the first few series, I did think the effects of the monsters were quite tacky in appearance, and the digital effects could of appeared more believeable. The concept of the series I find most captivating. yes most of the digital effects are ridiculously cartoon-like, but surely the storyline adds to the excitement of knowing what was going to happen next.
The point of the series is to create an emotional attachmet between the main characters ( which personally I found after watching all of season 1 ) , the thrill of new murders, how they were murdered and what kind of hybrid killed them is what interests me the most. We get to see how the main characters live their lives, which allows balance between the murder scenarios and any abnormal activity.
I love the fact these fairytales are related back to the old German fairytales, and that we get to see all these various creatures and the names they are given for what purpose.
This gives me some guidance on what to think about for my project. The digital effects of the transformation is what I like the most, it allows me to gain an understanding on how it may be done in terms of my project without making it look fake.
Bree Turner as known as Rosaless Calvert, a fox-like creature called Fuchsbau who takes over her brother's Wesen spice shop after he is murdered. Rosalee assists Nick and Monroe in their efforts by providing more information and remedies to supernatural problems. She married Monroe in the Season 3 finale.
Silas Weir Mitchell also known as Monroe , is a creature of the Grimm World called Wieder Blutbad who aids Nick with his cases. He becomes a good friend of Nick's, even though he has some issues with Grimms since a Grimm killed his grandfather.
Monroe is now exploring a relationship with Rosalee, although they are taking their time due to their pre-existing friendship.
