An experimentation on the ear sculpt. I wanted to see whether painting directly onto the sculpt with latex would prove effective.
The reason I wanted to experiment was because I didn't want to rely on making them from latex, and find out that it didn't work properly. Latex is also a lightweight material, so thats another reason I wanted to test it out first

I used an average sized storage container which I filled with latex, and used a latex sponge to apply onto the clay sculpt. I found it to be very tedious as I had to dry each layer, powder it, and then apply more layers. I attempted a bit, and I decided to see how thick it had become, when I pulled the latex from the mold, it did pick up the texture quite well, but in regards to the appearance, I didn't really think it was suitable for what appearance I wanted for my character.
The only improvement id make is, I was told to use food colouring within the mixture to experiment with different colours, which will be something to consider for next time.
